BINISSALEM VERMAR EXCURSION

The Binissalem Vermar celebrates the status that the town of Binissalem has in the Mallorcan grape-growing and wine industry, some of the island's most important bodegas being found there. While grapes and wine are the themes, this is also a fiesta that features much of what one finds at other fiestas, such as fire runs. The following lists just a few events that may be of interest. Binissalem, for those who may not know, is just south of Inca.

Saturday, 12 September
20:30: Art exhibitions open and there follows a jazz performance by the Contemporary Club Ensemble (vibes/percussion; clarinet; guitar; marimba/percussion; bass; drums).


Sunday, 13 September (Festa de Sant A Binigual)

20:00: Ice-cream and ensaimada for all followed by folk dance with Herbes Dolçes.

LAST LA LIGA GAME / DRY STONE WALL FIESTA

This weekend, No Frills Excursions are doing trips to Real Mallorca's final home game against one of La Liga's top sides, Villarreal.

Saturday 30 May, kick off 21:00. Adults 52 or 46 euros; children 25 or 22 euros.

And on Sunday, the chance to go to one of the most authentic Majorcan fiestas- the dry-stone wall fiesta in Binissalem. Adults 16 euros; children 8 euros.

20:30: Binissalem Techno DJs and Friends. Price: 8 euros. Place: Sports centre.

30 September. VERMAR (WINE FAIR AND FIESTA) BINISSALEM

Here’s a real not-to-be-missed event.

No Frills are taking a trip to the famous wine fiesta in Binissalem, one of the main centres of the Mallorcan wine industry.

It takes place on Sunday, 30 September. Leaves hotels at around 16:30 and returns 22:00.

There will be traditional dancing, free wine, local art and craft fair and exhibitions, and wine-tasting (4 euros for tasting up to 40 quality wines).
