Friday, 1 October:
18:00: Street procession with pipers and giants from the town hall.

19:00: Opening of fair and the town hall's stand. Market square. Garden realised by Jardins Tai. Bastió de Santa Maria.

19:30: Opening of vinyls (presumably records) with live music by DJ Abdon. Market square. Opening of show of decorated plates. Ca n'Amorós.

19:45: Opening of painting and photographic exhibition "Dofins". Can Torró library.

20:00: Opening of photographic exhibition of photos from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Can Torró library.

20:15: Opening of show of pots of Alcúdia and exhibition of sculptures. Can Torró and Can Fondo terraces.

20:30: Opening of painting exhibition by Bartomeu Pons. Can Fondo. Samples of home cooking. Four euros. Bastió de Santa Maria.

22:00: Battle of glossadors. Market square.

23:00: "Guateque". DJs Deixalle, Leftlover and Abdon.


Saturday, 2 October:
10:00: Opening of various stands and exhibitions - Mallorcan produce, recycling, vinyls, wines, agricultural machinery, military equipment, Mallorcan support for Africa, tourism ministry, craftwork (Porta del Moll school), embroidery (Casa de Cultura). All other locations on or by the market square.

10:30: Canicros fair. Dogs' sport. Bastió de Santa Maria.

11:00: Opening of exhibition one hundred years of aviation in Mallorca. Can Ramis.

11:00-13:00: Music in the streets.

14:00: Opening of the animals zone. Finca dels Princeps d'Espanya (opposite the parking).

16:30: Children's party with the group of "big heads" S'Estol del Rei en Jaume, accompanied by pipers. Town hall.

18:00: Exhibition of graffiti. Can Ramis.

18:30: Opening of exhibition of ceramics. Auditorium.

19:00: Conference on one hundred years of aviation in Mallorca. Can Ramis.

19:30: Horse procession and mediaeval spectacle.

23:00: Alcúdia Show Time. Playback, music, comedy, karaoke and DJs Pereta and Xavi Vidal. Market square.


Sunday, 3 October:
09:00: Re-opening of animals zone.

10:00: Arrival of dignitaries, accompanied by pipers.

10:00: Re-opening of stands and exhibitions from Saturday plus classic cars, trial bikes.

10:00-13:00: Show of dog obedience and agility. Finca dels Princeps d'Espanya.

11:00-14:00: Workshops for trades. Porta des Moll.

11:00-14:00: Music in the streets.

12:00: Horse spectacular.

16:30: Batucada (drum and samba parade). From the town hall.

18:30: Ball de Bot with groups Sarau Alcudienc and Música Nostra. Market square.

BINISSALEM - VERMAR 2010

Friday, 17 September:
18:00: Welcome to the "Vermada". In front of Can Buades.

20:00: Reception of the "Vermadors" and "Vermadoras" (local young people selected as representatives of the fiestas). At the town hall with bagpipe accompaniment.

20:30: Prayer for the fiestas. At the parish church with choir as well.

Saturday, 18 September:
12:00: The great grape battle. By the town hall.

14:00: Lunch and party with performances by Thunders, 4L and DJ Sebas Ramis. At the church square.

Sunday, 19 September:
17:30: Grape-treading competition (junior). Church square.

Monday, 20 September:
21:30: Glosadors competition. (The glosadors are singers/monolguists who improvise, often with the help of copious amounts of alcohol.) At the municipal theatre.

Wednesday, 22 September:
20:00: Performance of "tall de vermadors", folk dance, singing and music. Church square.

21:30: International cuisine sampling at the covered parking area of the graduate school.

Thursday, 23 September:
21:00: Fideus de Vermar (fideus are noodles, so this is a dinner which requires obtaining tickets in advance from 19:30 at Can Arabi where it takes place). Performance by the group Chanela.

Friday, 24 September:
08:00: Market at the graduate school parking.

20:30: Open-air supper in the streets of the town.

01:30: Fire run, demons and then drum and samba Batucada. Church square.

Saturday, 25 September:
17:00: Parade of floats with accompaniment by pipers and music groups.

20:00: Wine fair opens. Parc de la Rectoria.

23:00: Party with performances by Sa Minut Band, Niños Mutantes, Baix'n'Nicotina.

Sunday, 26 September:
10:15: Arrival of dignitaries with pipers and giants. At the town hall.

10:30: Solemn mass.

11:30: Grape-treading competition and dance by the Binissalem giants. Church square.

16:00: Free wine.

19:00: Popular dance. Church square.

UN LAZO EN MOVIMIENTO CHARITY CONCERT - PUERTO ALCUDIA

Saturday, 25 September:
A benefit concert on behalf of the breast cancer charity, "Un Lazo en Movimiento", takes place at Hidropark in Puerto Alcúdia. The concert features tribute acts from across the island. A very worthy cause indeed. Doors open at 15:00. Donations from 7 euros please. Children go free.

BEETHOVEN NINTH SYMPHONY - POLLENSA

Saturday, 11 September:
22:00: Fifteenth festival of classical music for winter. Beethoven Ninth Symphony. Sant Domingo cloister, Pollensa. Tickets available from the tourist offices in Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa.

PUERTO ALCUDIA TOURIST DAY - 2010

Thursday, 9 September:
The annual tourist day involves beach activities in the morning - from 09:30. These include beach volleyball, football, Zumba, kids' games and a rock and roll party. They take place on the sports beach at Ciudad Blanca in Puerto Alcúdia (top of the Bellevue Mile).

At 13:30, there is a buffet lunch for those taking part.

In the evening, the location shifts to the Paseo Marítimo (promenade). From 19:30 there is a flea market, then a mini disco and at 21:00 a musical show.

OPEN-WATER SWIM 2010 / BAR BAMBOO BOAT RACE 2010

Saturday, 4 September: The annual open-water swim across Pollensa bay from Formentor beach to the beach at the cove of San Pedro in Mal Pas, Alcúdia. From 09:00.

12:30: The annual Bar Bamboo boat race across the Lago Menor in Puerto Alcúdia, from the Jolly Roger, C. Portugal.
