Friday, 29 July: Cocktail night
22:00: Street parade and batucada (Afro-Brazilian drum samba).

22:30: Chill-Out Zone with DJ Terryman. Place: Calle Anecs and beach by the Restaurant Royal Beach. Entry: 10 euros (with three drinks).


Saturday, 30 July and Sunday, 31 July: Taplatja
20:30-23:30: Eight restaurants participate in a "tapas route", with tapas at one euro a go. The restaurants are: Bar Maties, Pizzeria Olé, Cafeteria Dallas, Restaurant Boy, El Tabal, Los Claveles, Léon Rojo, Las Delicias.

BALL DE BOT - PLAYA DE MURO / MIGUEL CANTILO - POLLENSA AND ALCUDIA

Thursday, 9 October: There will be a Ball de Bot (folk dance and music) with the group Revetla Algebelí in Playa de Muro. Place: front of the Municipal Building. Time: 19:30.


Guitarists Miguel Cantilo and Quique Gornatti, founder members of an Argentinian rock band, will be playing a mix of Latin American, tango, bossanova, blues and reggae at the following locations in Pollensa and Alcúdia:

Friday 1 August-Sunday 3 August: There will be a "night fair" with market in Playa de Muro in the evenings.

PLAYA DE MURO FIESTAS 2007

Playa de Muro has a short fiesta season each year. Here is a list of events for this year’s. Note that most events take place in the square in front of the MUNICIPAL BUILDING, Avda. Albufera, Carretera Artà, opposite the Apartments Ses Fotges. Many thanks to the Muro town hall for producing their publicity in four languages.

3 August:

10:00 - Sandcastle contest. Place: in front of the Hotel Playa Esperanza.

10:30 - Beach volleyball contest. Place: in front of the Hotel Playa Esperanza.

22:00 - Miss and Mister Playas de Muro. Place: in front of the Municipal Building. And then ... FOAM PARTY.

4 August:

20:00 - Traditional folkdances with the group Revetlla d’Algebeli. Place: in front of the Municipal Building.

22:00 - Concert and party with Orquestra Cocktail and Espais Verds. Place: in front of the Municipal Building.

5 August:

12:00 - Traditional contests and games for children. Place: in front of the Municipal Building.

18:30 - Mass. Place: Església Parroquial de Sant Albert el Gran (parish church).

20:00 - Concert with the Band Unió Artistica Murera. Place: in front of the Municipal Building.

22:00 - Mecano Simfònic concert. 24-piece band. Place: in front of the Municipal Building. And then ... GRAND FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

PIRATES ADVENTURE MATINEES / PLAYA DE MURO MARKET

The matinee shows have started at Pirates in Magaluf. No Frills are offering trips to this, the first being this Thursday, 19 July.

Doors open: 15:00. Show ends: 18:40 (approx.). Back in resort by 20:00.

The Posh Paddy in Playa de Muro has live music every evening from 21:30. Featured act is Brendan O’Brian. Irish, folk, rock and a lot more.

The Posh Paddy is on C/. Buguemvil-lea, just in Playa de Muro, by the Pointed Thing Roundabout at the boundary between Puerto Alcúdia and Playa de Muro.
