CRESTATX - EASTER FIESTA 2010

Tuesday, 6 April

This event starts at 09:00 with bell-ringing at the parish church in Sa Pobla and is followed by the pilgrimage to Crestatx. During the day there is solemn mass at the oratory (11:00), bag-pipes and ximbomba (traditional instrument). In addition, there are games and Mallorcan dances, and picnics take place. At 18:45, everyone returns to Sa Pobla and at 19:45 there is a final popular dance in the Plaça Major. There is also a free bus service that shuttles between Sa Pobla and Crestatx.

09:00: Procession and then mass at 12:00, with further mass at 20:30.

Friday, 9 April
Sort of Easter concert with performances by groups No More Time, 19 Something, Zona Nord and Polka Dot Shorts. From: 18:00 at the Plaça Cas Vicari, Puerto Alcúdia (by the school in the port, off C. Teodor Canet).

21:00: The procession with the image of Jesus. From the Calvari oratory and down the steps.
