FIESTA VIRGEN DEL CARMEN 2008 - PUERTO POLLENSA

This is the basic programme which shows the main events of this year's fiesta week.

Tuesday, 15 July:
21:00: Concert by the Pollensa Music Band. Place: The church in Puerto Pollensa's square.

Wednesday, 16 July:
18:00: Children's events (3-12 year-olds). Place: Puerto Pollensa public swimming pool.

20:00: Exhibition of embroidery and macramé. Place: The church in Puerto Pollensa's square.

21:00: Ball de bot (Mallorcan folk dancing). Place: The square (Plaça Miguel Capllonch).

Thursday, 17 July:
22:00: Lady Vinil Jazz and Wonderbrand Jazz Cómic. Place: The square.

Friday, 18 July:
19:00: Children's events (bouncies, disco). Place: The old school next to the square.

22:00: Tribute to Frank Sinatra. Place: The square.

Saturday, 19 July:
22:00. Concert - Oasis and L'Orquesta Roma de Lima (this is not THE Oasis by the way). Place: The square.

22:00: Beach party. DJs and groups. Place: La Gola beach.

Sunday, 20 July:
18:30: Solemn Mass. Place: The church in Puerto Pollensa's square, followed by sea procession with the images of Saint Peter and the Virgen del Carmen, accompanied by the Pollensa Music Band.

22:30: Fire run.

24:00: Firework display.
