ALCUDIA - PASSION & CAVALLI (Summer season 2012)
Throughout the summer season from May to September, there will be an event called "Passion & Cavalli", the description of which translates "a spectacular dedicated to flamenco dance, fused with the culmination of dressage". Whatever this means. Anyway it will be held on market days Sundays and Tuesdays at 11.30 and on Fridays at 20.30 in the Bullring in Alcúdia.
Prices: Adults 10 euros, Children (under 12) 5 euros for the market day shows and Adults 18 euros and Children 10 euros for the Friday show with the option on Fridays of supper as well, taking the total cost to Adults 30 euros and Children 18 euros.

We went to the Fri evening show with dinner. It started at 8.30pm in the small bar just inside the entrance, where we were given sangria, 2 diff types of coca and some chorizo. Around 9.30pm we were invited into the bullring, and shown to tables at the side. Red and white wine, water were waiting on the table, and they served us salad, bread, and chicken, steak, lamb chops and ribs, all cooked on bbqs by the bar. Then the show started, great girl singer (where did they advertise 'wanted bareback rider who can sing' ?), 4 dancers who danced with each other, but also with the horses. And the riders of the horses with their control and skill....Hopefully more will go and see this show (with or without the meal) and appreciate the work put into this unusual entertainment up here in the North.
