MURO FAIR / FIRA DE TARDOR 2011

Friday, 11 November:
20:00: Introduction to the wine-tasting and then from 21:00-23:30 wines and cheese in the Cloister of the Convent.


Saturday, 12 November:
10:30: Children's workshop for making lanterns with pumpkins. Plaça dels Abeuradors.

12:30: Opening of an exhibition on photography of the "correfoc" (the demon fire run). Ethnology museum.

18:00: Procession with pumpkin lanterns. From the Plaça Sant Martí.

18:30: Children's fire run. Plaça Comte d'Empúries.

20:00: Street procession from the town hall with the Unió Artística Murera band.

20:30: Muro cuisine and sampling. Cloister of the Convent.


Sunday, 13 November (the autumn fair):
10:30: Procession of Muro giants and pipers.

11:00: Arrival of dignitaries and visits to stands at the fair which include produce, Mallorcan products etc.

11:00: Procession with the band of drums and bugles.

12:45: Pumpkin competition.

13:00-16:00: Muro cuisine and sampling. Cloister of the Convent.

17:00: Popular dance with Revetla d'Algebelí, followed (at 18:00) by music by the Unió Artística Murera.

Note: The Muro cuisine and sampling features a number of Muro restaurants with different dishes based on the pumpkin, the theme of the Muro autumn fair. The wine tasting is a small wine fair with a number of local bodegas plus cheesemakers.
