SANT PERE (SAN PEDRO) / FIRA DE LA MAR 2010 - PUERTO POLLENSA

The fiestas of Sant Pere in Puerto Pollensa are not on the scale of those in Puerto Alcúdia, but they offer a low-key, local-to-the-resort alternative. This year they embrace the Fira de la Mar (sea fair), which has been moved from September.

Saturday, 26 June:
18:00: Opening of the Fira de la Mar and exhibition of photos "La Mar" in the lounge at the yacht club. Street procession with the band of drums and bugles.

18:30: Children's workshop.

19:00: Show cooking by Pepe Pintos.

19:00: Demonstration of fishermen's trade.

20:00: Children's entertainment, courtesy of Gelats (ice-creams) Valls.

22:30: Performance by the traditional group Música Nostra.

Sunday, 27 June:
11:00: Arrival of dignitaries, visit to the lifeboat Salvamar Saiph and samples of local cuisine and produce.

11:00: Demonstration of fishermen's trade.

18:30: Show cooking by Norberto Vinci.

19:00: Street procession with the pipers group Xeremiers Orats.

21:00: Ball de bot with Revetlers des Puig d'Inca.

Monday, 28 June:
19:30: Performance by the pipers group Xeremiers Orats.

20:00: Sardine supper.

22:00: Performance by the music group Piscis.

Tuesday, 29 June:
11:00: Solemn mass.

14:00: Lunch at Tango Ca Vostra.
