POLLENSA FAIR 2009 / FERIA POLLENSA / FIRA POLLENÇA 2009

Stands, exhibitions etc, take place around the centre of the old town of Pollensa. In addition, there are some sporting events which are not listed here. The fair itself is not confined to specific events listed below as there are, for example, stands for cars and agricultural machinery in the Plaça del Monument and tents for business and institutions along the C. Cecili Metel.


Friday, 13 November
18:00 (till 22:30): Opening of the craft fair. Place: Convent of Sant Domingo.

18:00: Exhibition about the firemen of Mallorca. Place: La Caixa exhibition room, C. Antoni Maura.

19:00: Chocolate event for pensioners. Place: Jardins Joan March.

21:00: Farmworkers' dance with Revetla d'Algebellí. Place: Marquès Desbrull.


Saturday, 14 November
10:00: The craft fair (till 14:00 and then 16:00 till 22:00). Place: Convent of Sant Domingo.

10:00: The farm fair with local produce. Place: Plaça Major.

12:00: Show of bonsais. Place: Club Pollença.

16:30: Procession with the drum and bugle band.

17:00: Market. Place: C. Convent.

18:00: Presentation about main characters involved with the work of Colonya bank and with its founder Guillem Cifre. Place: Pollensa museum.

18:00: Show of cheese and cheese-making. Place: Plaça Vella.

19:30: Concert with the Pollensa music band. Place: Montision church.

20:00: Presentation about the magazine "El Mirall", dedicated to Pollensa. Place: Club Pollença.


Sunday, 15 November
09:00: "Open doors" to the association for wine. Place: C. Guillem Cifre de Colonya.

09:00: Show of horses, local animals and ecological produce. Place: Can Conill.

09:00: The farm fair with local produce. Place: Plaça Major.

10:00: Continuation from Saturday of craft fair (till 22:00), market in C. Convent, cheese and cheese-making plus an exhibition about the town hall at Tafona de Can Reiet in C. Sant Domingo.

10:30: Arrival of local dignitaries, accompanied by pipers. Place: Plaça del Monument.

18:00: Children's entertainment. Place: through the streets of the fair.

19:00: Dance with the group Marjal en Festa.


Monday, 16 November
10:00-14:00 and 16:00-20:00: Continuation of the fair.
