MARE DE DÉU D'AGOST - 2009

Mare de Déu d'Agost. This is a celebration across the island. The major event in the north is in Can Picafort, where the climax of the fiesta fortnight occurs. As a reminder of events on 15 August in Can Picafort, the main attractions are:

12:00: Traditional liberating on the ducks (rubber). Place: in front of the hotel Mar y Paz.

24:00: Grand fireworks display: Place: Plaça Cervantes.

In Alcúdia, there is a more subdued celebration:
22:00: Traditional concert for Mare de Déu d'Agost with the Alcúdia Municipal Band. Place: Plaça de les Verdures.
